Our Club

Boonah Gliding Club Inc (BGC) is a not for profit community-based gliding club. We are run and staffed by volunteer members. We are based at Boonah Airfield in Boonah, Queensland. The club takes pride in owning our facilities and taking advantage of the amazing soaring conditions around the spectacular Scenic Rim.

The Club operates year round on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. BGC prides itself on being a club for all types of gliding enthusiasts. With a passion for training and instructing new students, cross country and social flying, we look forward to meeting your gliding needs. As a member of BGC, you are encouraged to follow your own path of participation with access to social flying, cross country, aero and auto tow launching, competitions and events within and outside the club throughout the year.

We also offer individual Air Experience Flights and Corporate Team Days.

Our Gliders

The Boonah Gliding Club maintains a fleet of 5 fibreglass gliders. There are three 2 seat gliders used for training and Air Experience Flights and two single seat gliders for solo flying.

Private aircraft are also available for hire, please enquire.
