Lots of activity at Boonah this weekend. Saturday was a succesful day of aerobatics with the Fox and the ASK-21 followed by an early start Sunday morning for the vehicle towing. Boonah is probably unique for Australia to offer this activity on a strip shared with motorised aircraft. There was a total of 11 launches under the supervision of Phil Slocombe before operations ceased at 10am to allow aerotow operations to start. Saturday had some 25 launches with +30 on Sunday.
Weatherwise it was hot and sticky, not ideal conditions for gliding, still it was possible to get up and fly on the Scenic Rim range and reach 6000feet and have flights lasting for 2-3hours.
