Autumn Flying has been very promising so far. I couldn’t get out last weekend but the Saturday and Sunday before were spectacular. Barry Cook rang me on the Saturday just to let me know what I was missing out on. So I had to go out Sunday. If the Saturday was better than the Sunday it was pretty special. Sunday I got off tow straight into a 14 knot climb to cloudbase. It was the highest averaged climb I’ve ever had. Pasky later told me the tug was showing 15knots up. Phil has been working on the F-truck fitting an audio warning for when the rope approaches weak link breaking strain. MicMac and our fearless CFI got to put that through its paces early in the day and later Phil felt confident enough to use it as well.
Hope to see you out at Boonah this weekend..
