Windy? Or what a great time?
Windy? Or what a great time?
With a strong cross wind blowing and safety a primary concern there were only three flights on Friday and only one on Saturday however Sunday saw the cross wind ease to a manageable strength.
It was a great time for everyone to experience cross wind take-offs and landings. Students and solo pilots took advantage of the wind to learn or refine their skills under less than perfect conditions. A skill worth keeping at its peak, never know when you will need it.
Boonah is an area where it is nice to be to be a fair weather pilot or you can also take advantage of the environment and stretch you skills. Last weekend was one of those opportunities.
Thanks to Cliff Hitch and Brian Gilby for their instruction and MicMac for flying the tug in the wind.
