Nice Weekend
Rained out on Saturday but a big day Sunday. In total we had 36 flights. We had two tugs flying, the Pawnee doing the steady work and the Super Cub pitching in when things got busy. This is a very efficient way to run our strip. Tony Sorenson and Nigel Arnot doing the work. Thanks guys.
Our hardest working instructor, John Stockwell, took the day off to go flying in Cliffs’ LS3. For many of us John is the instructor who sat in the rear seat while we, in our early days, struggled away in the front. For some of us he is the instructor who sent us on our first solo, but most of us have not seen John at the club just going for a glide. Hope to see more of it John.
The conditions were good but not spectacular however some respectable flight times were recorded. Boonah is a place where you can truly hone your skills when on light days the thermals are not booming, but they are there, and they will reward the pilots who can use them.
