At last one solid day of flying at Boonah but then circumstances combined to stop the second day. We are trying to get next weekend to run without a problem and that looks promising. As you may be aware our tug WWP is out of action in the repair shop until about Jan 12 Nigel Arnot flew in to the rescue with his supercub. Once considered the most desirable aircraft for glider towing and now back in action again. Thank you Nigel. Our club has not had many flying opportunities over the last month and it was looking like another weekend lost until you volunteered your service and aircraft. The day also saw the Arrow back in the air. Stewart Hamey did the test flight and then John Feeney went for a long late afternoon flight. We are now trying to arrange with our team of tug pilots to have those with tail dragger endorsements, who can fly a supercub, to help out over the next couple of weeks. We have had lots of enthusiastic response now just a matter of getting the timing together. Thanks for the day to Ian Perkins instructing alone, Mike Iveson for the hard days work as duty pilot and Nigel Arnot towing. It was not fantastic gliding weather but it sure was better than what the last month had to offer.
