Frustrating Weather
After four weekends of un-flyable weather Monday turns out to be great.
The extended forecast is that this perfect weather will only last until Thursday, lets hope the BOM get it wrong.
Saturday 13 Dec. Finally we had some gliders in the air. It was very rough and all flights were short, but at least some lucky pilots remembered what it was like with some good cross wind practice. The airforce cadets returned our Blanik after a rough and bumpy flight from Warrick. Nice to see it back in the air over Boonah.
Sunday 14 Dec. A nice enthusiastic turn out but only to be faced, once again, with un-flyable weather. We wheeled out the K21 and the Blanik, completed the DI, and held out hope for an easing of the wind but it only got stronger. We did however manage to do some more work on the fuel facility fence.
Stewart Hamey came ready to do the test flight in the Arrow and get it on line but that will have to wait for another day. We will then have our very interesting fleet of club gliders all back in the air, old wood, canvas and steel, aluminium, and glass. A great range of choices. We do have a great club
Now all we need is for the weather to assist.
