Boonah Brilliant!!
Two out of three of the sources of lift again today - thermal and ridge but no wave!! The 'new 'Blanik' was out and flown with new member Stefan U at the controls. HIs brother Adam also enjoyed a flight. John Stockwell and Ken (sorry Ken can't remember the family name) had a couple of hour long flights in the K-13; well done to them!! Kerry Henderson turned her hand to Duty Pilot duties and performed admirably while son Adam flew the Club Libelle. There was only one AEF which AEF Instructor Barry Cook handled with his usual aplomb in the Blanik - the K21 is away for Form 2. Altogether a low key day, however there was one development. Phil Slocombe has blown up the fun-o-meter.....he had occasion to fly Nigel's ASW-20 for an hour or so on the ridge. Those of us on the ground saw him cavorting on the ridge back and forth, with big pull-ups at each end (probably with a big 'yippee' shouted in the cockpit!!).
