Another beautiful Boonah day with lots of lift early on. There was a seriously solid traffic jam on the Cunningham highway caused by the air show on this day, but those who managed to get through and those lucky enough to come from a different direction were well rewarded with good conditions and lots of club spirit in action. The on- roster Instructor #1 and the duty pilot were not able to come so we saw John Stockwell step up for the #1 job and Ken Window step up for the duty pilot’s job. Thanks to you two guys for once again, quickly, throwing your hats into the ring. The K13 our regular and tireless work horse spent all day in the air with early solo pilots, check flights and student flights. Later in the day Ross Hall was able to help John out with some student flights in the Kevin Senz owned BlanikJohn Stockwell, now a level 2 instructor, for his first time in Australia sent a student for his first solo flight. The student, Denis Nolan, thanks John for his confidence and guidance and all of the other instructors who sat behind him.
Denis Nolan's first solo... Well done John and Denis!
