Sunday 28/9/08
Well Sunday was certainly a day for the girls.
We had Makaila who is one of our up and coming pre solo students showing just how well our younger members take to gliding.

Nina who had her first solo flights in both the K21 and the Clubby,

and Kylie who is also went solo in the Clubby.

The day was one of those perfect training days, with the wind right on your nose on 04 and some lift around for most of the day. The day also saw everybody’s favourite and Mr nice guy Bryan O’Toole back in the air (stick to flying Brian it’s safer than 2 wheels). Grant Watson also fronted up for an annual check which he passed with flying colours after encountering some airbrake induced sink on downwind. Kylie took the K21 for a fly to practice some loops and our duty pilot Peter Sampson also had time for a fly. Robert Sopinski and his wife disappeared in the K13 for about 45 minutes and there were a couple of AEF’s which Mike Ridge looked after in his normal smooth manner. All in all it was a great day and a pleasure to be part of it. The club is certainly in great shape with new solo pilots coming through and some of our, well shall I say more debonair pilots showing the younger ones how it is done.
Well done everybody, and thanks for a great day!
