Saturday September 6, 2008 What a day to be blown away, strong gusty winds forced the cancellation of operations for the day. The only launch was the K13 with Dave Donald pulling the pin after a roller coaster ride to about 100ft. then landing safely back on the strip with a total flight time of about 30 seconds.
Thanks to the instructors for your brave effort and wise decision.
Sunday September 7, 2008 Chalk and Cheese overnight. It was a nice day for club spirit and flying. A calm sunny day at Boonah with almost imperceptible breeze. Perfect flying conditions with some very good lift when away from the strip. It was a bit out of reach for the K13 but the glass gliders all reported long flights and good height. The master of multi-tasking duty pilot (Kylie) was able to run the day as well as fly the K13 from the back seat with Dave Mutton in the front and now has her passenger rating. Congratulations and thanks. A big day for A.E.F. by the end of the day we had 6 happy customers and a very happy treasurer. Thanks Ron McLeay for the all day flying. Thanks today for Dave Mutton stepping in to instruct and John Zoanetti the tireless Tuggie.
