Yes its the middle of May and the sky is booming at Boonah! Its 25 degrres and cloudbase is at about 4500ft. There's a SW change coming in and the sky is unstable with storms growing to the south and out on the range. The two seaters are working hard as are the instructors Mike and Andrew Maddocks, Brian Gilby, Barry Cook, Michael McLachlan and Dave Donald. Z Man (John Zoanetti) is doing a stirling job in tug WWP. At about midday I took a passeger in GUE out to Mt Barney and found an alley way between the clouds about 1km wide. Little puffs of cloud appeared in front of us down the centre of the alley at 4000ft and we were able to climb in these wisps 500 ft above cloud base. Amazing! The wisps never amounted to real cloud and the lift was silky smooth and a good 4 kts. You shoulda been here!
