December Soaring

Sat/Sun 12-13 December... Saturday saw wonderful soaring opportunities. John Feeney logged 5h53min in ZAI and covered a fair bit of territory. Gav and I ventured down to Mt Barney, up along the range behind the Moogerah Dam and then up to Flinders Peak in about 5kt average thermals with some serious off the scale climbs at times. Great fun. Sunday was a little less inspiring but still good lift available from about 0900. Adam, Andrew and Nick returned from Joey Glide. Andrew placed second, Nick third and Adam seventh. Congratulations boys. Apretty good effort and representation for Boonah.
