Nostalgic Flight
A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to have a flight in Laurie Simpkins' M200, which he has lovingly restored. This was a real blast from the past for me as it's the same model glider I did my first solo in when I was 15. I flew with Stewart Hamey who thermalled nicely while I seemed to descend in the thermals... hmmm, a little harder to fly than I remembered, but great fun :-) Thanks Laurie! Below is a "then" and "now" shot... yes, I did have hair back then.
