Learn to fly

  1. Qualified Instructors
  2. No fees for instruction - just pay for glider hire and tow !
  3. All less than an hour from Brisbane at a venue which will amaze you every time you fly with its beauty and diversity.

Instruction is provided by skilled, qualified people who are certified by the Gliding Federation of Australia, in two seat training aircraft designed to be easy and safe to fly.

Learning to fly a glider is something almost anyone can do and is relatively inexpensive.

You will require about 20 hours of instruction to reach the first stage of your training.

Glider hire is charged per minute while the glider is flying. The current rate is 87 c/min for the two seat club aircraft. There is also a 20c per minute levy charged on all instructional flights. Aerotow launches cost a minimum charge of $23 up to 1000ft and then charged at $1.35 per additional 100ft. Most early training flights will aerotow to around 2500ft, which at present rates will cost $43.

Please note that in Australia the maximum glider seat weight is 110 kg. Unfortunately pilots weighing more than 110 kg will not be able to fly in a glider.
