ASK-21 VH-BGE

This is a modern fibreglass training aircraft. It is easy to fly yet capable of nearly all Aerobatic manoeuvres including inverted flight. The cockpit is comfortable and has great visibility. It is fitted with all modern instruments including GPS navigation and Traffic alarm. 17 metre wingspan.

HpH 304C Wasp VH-ZAJ

This modern fibreglass single seat aircraft is a delight to fly. Made in the Cezch Republic it is a delight to fly and is available to all club members after qualification. With a glide ratio of 42:1 it is a very capable Cross Country aircraft fitted with all the best instruments. It is a Standard Class aircraft, 15m wingspan, no flaps and a retractable undercarriage.

C150 (180 HP) VH-WWP

The club tow plane provides aerotow launches for club and privately owned gliders every Saturday & Sunday of the year and other days arrangement. Whisky, while not as powerful as the Piper Pawnee tug, provides an efficient and cost effective tow for single and two seat gliders. It is an easy to handle and popular tug aircraft in the Australian gliding club environment.

Astir CS - VH-WVK

The Astir is a single seat glider with a wingspan of 15m. It is typically the first single seat glider Club members will fly after completing their dual check flights. It has reasonable performance with a best glide ratio of 38:1 at 56 knots, and is a nice aircraft to fly.

Boonah Club Members are required to read and sign a hire agreement prior to flying the Astir.

Grob G 103

Twin Astir

The Grob G 103 Twin Astir is a two-seat sailplane with a wingspan of 17.5m. It is used by the Club for training, Air Experience Flights, member passenger and cross country flying. It has a roomy cockpit and can take front and back seat pilots up to 110kgs. With a maximum glide ratio of 38:1 it is a very capable cross country two-seater.

This aircraft is in syndicate ownership by a significant group of generous Boonah Club members with the Club also owning a small share.

Glasflugel Club Libelle VH-GJK

Fibreglass 15m Standard Class glider with best L/D of 35:1. This aircraft was previously owned by the Club, now in private ownership but online to Club members. It is another glider for new single seat pilots to fly. Easy to handle and lots of fun.

ASK-21 Mi NTT

A self launching version of our club ASK-21, NTT is in member syndicate ownership, however endorsements and private hire are available to approved pilots meeting minimum experience levels. The ASK-21 Mi is a time efficient way to practice circuit and landing work for some students and can also be used for cross country and outlanding training.

NTT can provide the Grand Tour (hour long) Air Experience Flight 7 days a week outside of normal club hours due to its independent launch and in flight relight capability.

MDM-1 Fox PT

A 14m two-seat advanced aerobatic trainer capable of +9/-6g in the solo configuration. This glider arrived at Boonah in May 2009 and is the only one of its kind currently in Australia. Available for dual aerobatic and unusual attitude training by arrangement, this aircraft brings unlimited aerobatics and gliding together in one package.

ASW20-F DS

DS

This aircraft is the French version of Schleicher's ASW20a. It was manufactured under licence by Centrair in 1980. Fully restored to mint condition this aircraft has a best L/D of 42:1 at 59 knots. The aircraft is flapped, retractable undercarriage and fully equipped for altitude flying.

Duo Discus XLT KX

A 20m two-seat high performance glider designed for fast cross country speeds. It is fitted with a retractable sustainer engine to extend soaring in difficult conditions. Best glide ratio 44:1.

Available for use by approved pilots by arrangment or for cross country training with instruction.
